Alaska, Yottabytes, Timpanis and Zwanzig

a timpani

Four topics of conversation today over beer, ending in a search on Wikipedia for these two topics. In the end we discovered that Alaska was not bought for $1 by the US from Russia and that yottabytes are just figments of our imagination for the time being at least. Disappointing I know. Also, the other name for a kettledrum is a timpani, which sounds more like metal ape with no heart rather than a drum. Finally, the number 20 in German is most fondly known as zwanzig.
